We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Malmo where second-best White Eagles (7-3) were defeated by third ranked Malbas (6-5) 81-69 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 44-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Malbas made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) who scored 29 points. Forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Malbas players scored in double figures.
