The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Gussing Knights (19-7) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by fourth ranked Zepter Vienna (17-9) 73-53. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-53. It was a good game for Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Marcus Heard (201-84, college: De Paul) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) added 9 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Gussing Knights. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 17-9 record. Gussing Knights at the other side still keep top place with seven games lost. They share the position with Gmunden and Kapfenberg. Zepter Vienna are looking forward to face Raiffeisen Wels (#6) at home in the next round. Gussing Knights will play against Xion Dukes (#5) and are hoping to win this game.
