A very close game took place in Les Milles between Perpignan and Pays d'Aix. Seventh ranked Perpignan (10-2) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Pays d'Aix (8-13). Perpignan managed to escape with a 2-point win 59-57 on Tuesday evening. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The former international center Elodie Bertal (191-84) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and forward Fabienne Constant (186-86) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Berengere Dinga-Mbomi (172-95) added 13 points respectively for Pays d'Aix in the defeat. Perpignan have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Pays d'Aix lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Dunkerque and Avenir. Perpignan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pays d'Aix will play against Dunkerque (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
