The most interesting game of round 22 was a home defeat of Kotwica (4-18) to Polpharma (5-17) 84-78. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 47-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Polpharma looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Lithuanian point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) scored 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and American Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) chipped in 8 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Polpharma's coach Tomasz Jankowski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Terell Parks (204-91, college: W.Illinois) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Matthew Rosinski (190-87, college: Regis Univ., agency: Promotex) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Polpharma went down to first position due to points difference. Kotwica at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 18 games lost.
