Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Rakvere (20-8) against sixth ranked Tln Kalev (11-16) on Wednesday night. Visiting BC Rakvere was crushed by Tln Kalev in Tallinn 97-64. The game without a history. Tln Kalev led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BC Rakvere's 32. They outrebounded BC Rakvere 38-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Ghanian-American Asenso Ampim (203-88, college: Columbia) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) contributed with 28 points for the winners. Four Tln Kalev players scored in double figures. Lithuanian guard Giedrius Gustas (190-80, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 16 points and the former international point guard Silver Leppik (188-83) added 11 points in the effort for BC Rakvere. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tln Kalev maintains sixth place with 11-16 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Tln Kalev's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked KK Hito (#9) in Johvi. BC Rakvere will play at home against the league's leader Kalev/Cramo (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
