Second Stage Round 4: Tsmoki II - Rubon 87-69

An interesting game for Tsmoki II (13-7) which hosted in Minsk 3rd ranked Rubon (10-10). First ranked Tsmoki II had an easy win 87-69. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki II. Rubon managed to win second period 28-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tsmoki II dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rubon's 36. The winners were led by forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) who scored that evening 27 points and 6 rebounds and forward Kiryl Chumakou (197-95) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tsmoki II players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 4 assists by point guard Fedor Kryukov (181-88) did not help to save the game for Rubon. Power forward Victor Ilyukevich (203-94) added 7 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tsmoki II have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-7 record. Rubon at the other side dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Tsmoki II will meet Prinemanye (#5) in the next round. Rubon will play against Impuls BGUIR in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
