Very expected game when 6th ranked Solna Vikings (16-20) were smashed on the road by second ranked Boras Basket (27-9) 99-65 on Friday. The game without a history. Boras Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Vikings' 26. They outrebounded Solna Vikings 46-25 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boras Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Solna Vikings' players. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard James Miller (182-79, college: N.Carolina A&T) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Finnish guard Roope Ahonen (186-90) accounted for 15 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Boras Basket's coach Pat Ryan felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Turkish guard Erkan Inan (195-89) came up with 21 points and 9 assists and Jesper Eliasson (202-94) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Solna Vikings in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boras Basket maintains second place with 27-9 record having three points less than leader Sodertalje. Loser Solna Vikings keep the sixth position with 20 games lost.
