No shocking result in a game when second ranked Palma (14-7) crushed on the road 9th ranked Marin (8-13) 91-70 on Saturday. The game without a history. Palma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Marin's 32. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 assists. Power forward Antonio Pantin (206-88, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Power forward Joseba Aramburu (205-81) came up with 12 points and 5 assists and Dominican forward Gregorio Adon (198-91) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Marin in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Palma have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-7 record having just three points less than leader Fuenlabrada. Marin lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cambados. Palma will meet at home Zornotza (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
