There was no surprise when 5th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (17-28) were defeated on the road by second ranked Wakayama T. (31-12) 86-73 on Saturday. The game without a history. Wakayama T. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Wakayama T. outrebounded Hitachi Sunrockers 37-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Hitachi Sunrockers' players. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners.
