Regular Season Round 23: Breogan - Palencia 92-81

The game between second ranked Palencia Baloncesto (18-6) and fourth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (17-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Palencia Baloncesto was defeated by Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo 92-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Palencia Baloncesto. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Palencia Baloncesto managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. American guard Tyrus McGee (188-91, college: Iowa St.) helped adding 23 points. Power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Carles Bravo (193-79) scored 21 points and 5 assists. Leche Rio Breogan have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Burgos. Palencia Baloncesto at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Leche Rio Breogan is again looking forward to face league's second-placed Palencia Baloncesto at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
