Regular Season Round 26: CZG Veroli - PMS Torino 73-72

A very close game took place in Veroli between CZG Veroli and PMS Torino. Ninth ranked CZG Veroli (14-12) got a very close home victory over higher ranked PMS Torino (16-10). CZG Veroli managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 on Saturday evening. PMS Torino was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 21-15 charge of CZG Veroli, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Jamarr Sanders (193-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) notched 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington) supported him with 19 points. Even 21 points by American point guard Ronald Steele (187-86, college: Alabama, agency: SportsTalent) did not help to save the game for PMS Torino. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) added 16 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CZG Veroli moved-up to seventh place. PMS Torino lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. CZG Veroli will meet FCM Ferentino (#8) on the road in the next round. PMS Torino will play against Novipiu Casale and hope to secure a win.
