Regular Season Round 25: Rapla - Tarvas 67-66

The most exciting game of round 25 in the Alexela KML took place in Rapla. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed BC Rakvere (20-8) to seventh ranked Rapla (9-19) 67-66 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 30-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rapla outrebounded BC Rakvere 45-34 including 30 on the defensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by BC Rakvere helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian forward Dusan Sisic (206-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (179-93) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side Lithuanian guard Giedrius Gustas (190-80, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals and guard Mihkel Kurg (190-87) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rapla maintains seventh place with 9-19 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Rapla are looking forward to face higher ranked KK Parnu (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Rakvere will play against the league's leader Kalev/Cramo having rather not much hope for a victory.
