Regular Season Round 21: Pays d'Aix - Limoges 60-68

Very expected game when 10th ranked Pays d'Aix (8-13) lost to sixth ranked Limoges (11-10) in Les Milles 60-68 on Saturday. Pays d'Aix was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 19-9 charge of Limoges, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 24 Pays d'Aix turnovers. Strangely Pays d'Aix outrebounded Limoges 52-28 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Melanie Devaux (165-92) who led her team to a victory with 21 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Manon Sinico (180-85) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and Berengere Dinga-Mbomi (172-95) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Pays d'Aix. Limoges moved-up to fourth place. Pays d'Aix lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Limoges will face bottom-ranked CFBB (#14) in Paris in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pays d'Aix will play at home against Dunkerque (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
