D-League top team - Fort Wayne Mad Ants (29-16) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Austin Toros (17-28) 119-111. Austin Toros were ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 32-19 charge of Fort Wayne Mad Ants, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Austin Toros' 54 and made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Austin Toros were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Ron Howard (196-82, college: Valparaiso) accounted for 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Guard Ronald Murray (190-79, college: Shaw) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and guard Courtney Fells (196-86, college: N.Carolina St.) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Austin Toros in the defeat. Four Austin Toros players scored in double figures. Fort Wayne Mad Ants maintains first place with 29-16 record, which they share with Rio Grande VV. Austin Toros at the other side keep the sixth position with 28 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
