Regular Season Round 24: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Strasbourg 79-94

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (12-12) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Strasbourg IG (15-9) 94-79 on Tuesday. Strasbourg IG shot 62.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Antoine Diot (192-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 assists and center Romain Duport (218-86) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland) with 16 points and 4 assists and point guard Remi Lesca (180-90) scored 14 points. Five Strasbourg IG and four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. Strasbourg IG moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Nanterre. Strasbourg IG will meet at home league's second-placed Sluc Nancy in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against JSF Nanterre (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
