PGE Turow (18-5) recorded a loss in Zgorzelec on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by Trefl Sopot (17-6) 77-74. PGE Turow was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 15-9 charge of Trefl Sopot, which allowed them to win the game. They made 29-of-30 free shots (96.7 percent) during the game. Trefl Sopot outrebounded PGE Turow 39-23 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. International swingman Adam Waczynski (199-89) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (187-89, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 11 points. Trefl Sopot's coach Darius Maskoliunas used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Trefl Sopot will meet at home Stelmet ZG in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PGE Turow will play against Rosa Radom and hope to secure a win.
