Quarter-Finals Round 3: Svendborg - Horsholm 97-76

Svendborg grabbed 2-1 lead against Horsholm following a comfortable home win. The game was mostly controlled by Svendborg. Horsholm managed to win second period 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Svendborg outrebounded Horsholm 39-26 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Brenton Butler (188-87, college: Fordham) with 29 points and 4 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Hungarian forward Attila Kovacs (202-85) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds.
