Regular Season Round 49: Bambitious Nara - Osaka Evessa 87-75

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Bambitious Nara (14-29) defeated at home 6th ranked Osaka Evessa (20-25) 87-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bambitious Nara. Osaka Evessa was better in third quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bambitious Nara looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) fired 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Zachary Andrews (203-85, college: Bradley) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian power forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Bambitious Nara and four Osaka Evessa players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa's coach Shunsuke Todo let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bambitious Nara maintains ninth place with 14-29 record. Loser Osaka Evessa keeps the sixth position with 25 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face again higher ranked Osaka Evessa (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
