No shocking result in a game when second ranked Wakayama T. (32-12) beat on the road 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (5-40) 92-84 on Saturday. The game without a history. Wakayama T. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wakayama T. outrebounded Kumamoto V. 53-23 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) answered with 33 points (!!!) and guard Thomas Baudinet (190-89, college: St.Anselm) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Kumamoto V.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wakayama T. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Wakayama T. maintains second place with 32-12 record having eight points less than leader Aishin SH. Kumamoto V. lost nineteenth consecutive game. Kumamoto V. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with 40 games lost. Wakayama T. will have a break next round.
