Second Stage Round 11: Blackeberg - BG Lulea 74-51

There was no surprise in Vallingby where 7th ranked BG Lulea (3-8) was crushed by fourth ranked KFUM Blackebergs (6-4) 74-51 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-51. KFUM Blackebergs dominated on the defensive end, holding BG Lulea to just 6 points in fourth quarter. KFUM Blackebergs forced 21 BG Lulea turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Nicklas Bergstrom (205-78) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Tim Schuberg (188-95) chipped in 20 points. Four KFUM Blackebergs players scored in double figures. Guard Marcus Grahn (187-95) produced 12 points and forward Andreas Von Uthmann (197-96) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. BG Lulea's coach Dennis Pihl gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. KFUM Blackebergs moved-up to third place, which they share with Uppsala KFUM. Loser BG Lulea keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. KFUM Blackebergs will face Akropol (#6) in Stockholm in the next round. BG Lulea's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Lulea LF Future.
