There was no surprise when 10th ranked Marin (8-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Prat (14-8) 65-61 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 18-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Prat dominated on the defensive end, holding Marin to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Agustin Sans (195-95) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and Finnish power forward Joonas Caven (211-93) who added 12 points during the contest. Prat's coach Carles Duran used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Joseba Aramburu (205-81) with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican-American guard Garfield Blair (196-87, college: Stetson) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Prat have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Marin lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Prat will face Zornotza (#9) in Amorebieta-Echano in the next round where they are favorite. Marin will play at home against Fontedoso Carrefour and hope to win that game.
