Regular Season Round 23: Lattes Montp. - Arras 78-68

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Arras (5-18) was defeated on the road by second ranked Lattes Montpellier (19-4) 78-68. The game without a history. Lattes Montpellier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Lattes Montpellier especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Ingrid Tanqueray (166-88) who led the winners and scored 19 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Latvian forward Gunta Basko (181-80, college: Siena, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Pauline Krawczyk (182-85) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Canadian forward Kimberley Gaucher-Smith (186-84, college: Utah) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Arras in the defeat. Four Arras players scored in double figures. Lattes Montpellier maintains second place with 19-4 record having just three points less than leader Bourges. Arras lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Lattes Montpellier will play against league's leader Bourges on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arras will play against Basket Landes (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
