Regular Season Round 22: Pays d'Aix - Dunkerque 72-45

Everything could happen in Les Milles at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Pays d'Aix and 12th ranked Dunkerque had identical 8-13 record. This time Pays d'Aix used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Dunkerque 72-45 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Pays d'Aix. Dunkerque was better in third quarter 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pays d'Aix dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkerque's 22. American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Manon Cuomo (165-92) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Coach Damien Leroux's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Taelor Karr (173-90, college: Gonzaga) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Aurelie Durand (170-88) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Pays d'Aix (9-13) moved-up to tenth place. Loser Dunkerque dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Pays d'Aix will have a break next round. Dunkerque will play at home against Le Havre (#5) and hope to win that game.
