An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vigo. Third ranked Al-Qazeres faced 4th ranked Real Celta Vigo. Guests from Caceres (17-3) smashed host Real Celta Vigo (11-9) 79-54. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Real Celta Vigo. The game without a history. Al-Qazeres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded Real Celta Vigo 40-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Chilean center Tatiana Gomez (193-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Callan Taylor (182-90, college: Sacred Heart) who added 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Forward Maria Perez Araujo (184-97) responded with 23 points and point guard Begona Pallardo (168-92) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Al-Qazeres have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Ensino. Loser Real Celta Vigo keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. They share it with ADBA. Al-Qazeres will meet at home Aros Leon (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Celta Vigo will play against the league's leader Universitario de Ferrol (#1) and hope to secure a win.
