Second Stage Round 11: Taby - Solna Branten 82-67

Round 11 in Basketettan means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Taby where host Taby Basket (8-3) beat league's leader Solna Branten (8-3) 82-67 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Solna Branten. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 15 points. Taby Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Branten's 38. The best player for the winners was forward Fredrik Rasmusson (200-91) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Hampus Ahlin (194-95) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Leo Lightner (187-96) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Patrik Horman (186-94) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Taby Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Eagles and Solna Branten. Solna Branten will play next round against strong KFUM Uppsala trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Taby Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
