Very expected game when 11th ranked Novipiu Casale (12-15) was defeated at home by fifth ranked PMS Torino (17-10) 70-63. The guests were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 20-15 Novipiu Casale's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 70-63 at the end of the game. PMS Torino made 21-of-22 charity shots (95.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Polish power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (212-90) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and the other American import David Jackson (193-86, college: W.Illinois) added 15 points in the effort for Novipiu Casale. PMS Torino's next round opponent will be Pallacanestro Triest (#14) in Trieste and are hoping to win another game. Novipiu Casale will play on the road against the league's second-placed Trento and hope to win that game.
