We should mention about the upset which took place in Bologna, where higher ranked Juvecaserta (12-13) lost to thirteenth ranked Granarolo BO (10-15) in a road game 66-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juvecaserta. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Granarolo BO brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-84) nailed 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American-Congolese point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) accounted for 18 points. Four Granarolo BO players scored in double figures. American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) added 14 points respectively for Juvecaserta in the defeat. Granarolo BO moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Cimberio VA and Giorgo Tesi PT. Juvecaserta at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Granarolo BO's next round opponent will be higher ranked Air Avellino (#10) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
