Very expected game when 10th ranked Astoria Bydg. (7-19) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kutno (20-7) 76-62 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Power forward Mateusz Bartosz (203-87) scored 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Hubert Mazur (191-84, agency: Promotex) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Swingman Karol Obarek (194-93) responded with 13 points and guard Piotr Robak (192-91) scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
