Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Aiolos Trikallon (9-14) was defeated at home by second ranked Olympiacos (21-2) 84-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Aiolos Trikallon was better in fourth quarter 19-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aiolos Trikallon 32-19 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Aiolos Trikallon's players. It was a great evening for American forward Brent Petway (205-85, college: Michigan) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) helped adding 10 points and 7 assists. American forward Chris Evans (203-91, college: Kent St.) responded with 17 points and American-Jamaican power forward Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-84, college: Georgetown) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-2 record behind leader Panathinaikos. Newly promoted Aiolos Trikallon keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Olympiacos will face KAOD (#6) in Dramas in the next round. Aiolos Trikallon will play on the road against Panelefsiniakos in Eleusina and hope to win that game.
