There was no surprise in Rosh Pina where 11th ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-19) was defeated by eighth ranked Galil Gilboa (12-13) 90-78. It looked good early as Bnei Hasharon took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Galil Gilboa had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Bnei Hasharon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-90. Galil Gilboa players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida) nailed 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV, agency: Two Points) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Bnei Hasharon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Galil Gilboa. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hapoel Holon. Bnei Hasharon lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Galil Gilboa's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnei Hasharon will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
