We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Huskvarna where 6th ranked Eskilstuna (5-7) was defeated by seventh ranked Brahe Basket (6-7) 49-36 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Brahe Basket. Eskilstuna was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Eskilstuna to just 0 points in fourth quarter and to 9 points in second half. The best player for the winners was Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Adrian Thorangen (195-93, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 15 points. point guard Pontus Oksman (185-92) produced 6 points and Spanish power forward Ivan Saez (198-91) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Brahe Basket moved-up to sixth place. Loser Eskilstuna dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Brahe Basket will face higher ranked Boras II (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eskilstuna will play against the league's second-placed Fryshuset (#2) and hope to win that game.
