Very important is a home loss of third ranked Svisloch (3-10) against fourth ranked Sozh Gomel (3-7) on Tuesday night. Host Svisloch was crushed by Sozh Gomel in Osipovichi 98-71. The game without a history. Sozh Gomel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sozh Gomel forced 22 Svisloch turnovers and outrebounded them 41-29 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Center Pavel Bliznets (210-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). International guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89, agency: Mike Diesel) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Guard Sergej Vabischevich (190-88) replied with 17 points and 7 assists and forward Dmitri Shilovich (200-89) added 15 points in the effort for Svisloch. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sozh Gomel moved-up to third place. Svisloch lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Sozh Gomel will play against league's leader Tsmoki-Minsk on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Svisloch will have a break next round.
