Regular Season Round 3: Guasave - Hermosillo 73-81

An exciting game was played in Guasave. Rayos de Hermosillo faced Frayles de Guasave. Guests from Hermosillo (4-0) defeated host Frayles de Guasave (2-2) 81-73. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Frayles de Guasave won third quarter 24-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rayos de Hermosillo players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St.) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Victor Buelna (192-78) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists and American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) added 16 points in the effort for Frayles de Guasave. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Frayles de Guasave will play again at home against Rayos de Hermosillo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
