Montana 2003 snatched a narrow home win over Haskovo 2012 in the series opener. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-81. Montana 2003 made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game, while Haskovo 2012 only scored nine points from the stripe. Montana 2003 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Ukrainian swingman Olena Samburska (172-89, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and Montenegrin forward Biljana Pavicevic (191-80) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists.
