There was no surprise in Ramat Hasharon where 6th ranked Hof Hasharon (12-13) was defeated by second ranked Ironi Nahariya (19-6) 83-65 on Tuesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Ironi Nahariya looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Point guard Lior Segev (180-83, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) fired 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American guard Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Ironi Nahariya players scored in double figures. Ironi Nahariya's coach Shay Minister used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Joshua Alexander (195-87, college: SF Austin) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized British guard Dan Bank (188-84) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Ironi Nahariya keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel Kazrin. Newly promoted Hof Hasharon keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Ironi Nahariya will face Elitzur Ramla (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hof Hasharon will play against Hod Hasharon and hope to win that game.
