An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Guasave. Top-ranked Rayos de Hermosillo faced 4th ranked Frayles de Guasave. Guests from Hermosillo (4-0) defeated host Frayles de Guasave (2-2) 85-75. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) and forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) scored 15 points. Rayos de Hermosillo have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Loser Frayles de Guasave dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Rayos de Hermosillo will meet at home Ostioneros de Guaymas (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Frayles de Guasave will play against Garra Canera de Navolato (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
