No shocking result in a game in Hidalgo where first ranked Rio Grande Valley Vipers (30-19) defeated 4th ranked Idaho Stampede (24-25) 121-110 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 37-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Rio Grande Valley Vipers made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Robert Covington (206-90, college: Tennessee St.) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Rio Grande Valley Vipers maintains first position with 30-19 record, which they share with Sioux Falls S. and Iowa E. Loser Idaho Stampede keeps the fourth place with 25 games lost. Rio Grande Valley Vipers will face Austin Toros (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Idaho Stampede will play against Texas Legends in Frisco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
