Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Ourense (8-18) lost at home to sixth ranked Leyma Basquet (14-12) 88-75 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Leyma Basquet. Ourense managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leyma Basquet dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ourense's 30. Nigerian-Dominican point guard Sean Ogirri (188-86, college: Wyoming) notched 29 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and forward Javier Lucas (207-86) supported him with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by Ivorian-American Jonathan Kale (204-85, college: Providence) did not help to save the game for Ourense. Forward Eduardo Martinez (202-90) added 15 points for the hosts. Ourense's coach Gonzalo Garcia rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leyma Basquet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Oviedo. Loser Ourense keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost.
