CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (6-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (1-3) 87-78. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-78. Rayos de Hermosillo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Ostioneros de Guaymas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. Ostioneros de Guaymas at the other side dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo are looking forward to face Pioneros Los Mochis (#4) at home in the next round. Ostioneros de Guaymas will play against Fuerza Guinda Nogales (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
