Regular Season Round 51: Shimane SM - Fukuoka Rizing 50-79

Very expected game when 10th ranked Shimane Magic (7-38) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (24-21) 79-50 on Saturday. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Shimane Magic to just 4 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Jamie Duncan felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Adrian Thomas (200-87, college: Miami, FL) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Kouki Yamabuchi (183-84) scored 8 points and 7 assists. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. They maintain fifth place with 24-21 record. Shimane Magic lost their thirteenth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 38 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing (#5) and hope to win that game.
