Regular Season Round 51: Shinshu BW - Saitama Bron. 105-65

Everything went according to plan in Nagano where fourth ranked Shinshu BW (29-15) outscored 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-41) 105-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Shinshu BW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 36. Shinshu BW forced 22 Saitama Broncos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Shota Konno (184-85) helped adding 29 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St.) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Mark Dawson (206-83, college: Long Beach St.) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW maintains fourth place with 29-15 record. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the eleventh position with 41 games lost. Shinshu BW will face again Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
