The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Saint-Quentin's (19-19) home victory over 11th ranked Boulazac Basket (17-21) 77-69 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Boulazac Basket won fourth quarter 12-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Julien Lesieu (201-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. American Darnell Williams (202-78, college: San Jose St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Meredis Houmounou (188-88) added 7 points and 8 assists in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hyeres-Toulon. Loser Boulazac Basket dropped to the twelfth position with 21 games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Lille Metropole (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boulazac Basket will play against Orchesien BC (#17) and hope to win that game.
