Regular Season Round 28: Trento - Novipiu Casale 83-67

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Trento as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Trento defeated 11th ranked Novipiu Casale at home 83-67. The game was mostly controlled by Trento. Novipiu Casale managed to win third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Davide Pascolo (201-90) fired 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American Barry Elder (197-82, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 20 points. The former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) produced 18 points and American point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Novipiu Casale lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Fileni BPA Jesi. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Novipiu Casale faces FCM Ferentino trying to get back on the winning streak. Trento will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Lighthouse TR in Trapani.
