Quarter-Finals Round 1: GDESSA - AD Vagos 65-51

GDESSA held off AD Vagos for 1-0 lead in the quarterfinals. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when GDESSA's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-9 extending their advantage to 14 points. They made 19-of-19 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Laura Ferreira (180-95) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists (made all of her ten free throws !!!). American forward Lydia Bauer (183, college: Green Bay) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four GDESSA players scored in double figures. American swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Janae Fulcher (190-90, college: Arizona St.) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for AD Vagos. AD Vagos' coach Joao Janeiro rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
