Second Stage Round 4: AZS Koszalin - Slask Wroclaw 77-75

Top ranked Slask Wroclaw (14-13) recorded its thirteenth loss on the court of third ranked AZS Koszalin. Visitors were edged by AZS Koszalin 77-75. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Slask Wroclaw. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Places 7-12. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 23-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (178-84) contributed with 17 points and 8 assists for the winners. American center Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) replied with 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Robert Skibniewski (182-83) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Slask Wroclaw. Five Slask Wroclaw players scored in double figures. AZS Koszalin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Places 7-12, which they share with Asseco. Newly promoted Slask Wroclaw still keeps top position with 13 games lost. AZS Koszalin will play against Kotwica (#6) in Kolobrzeg in the next round. Slask Wroclaw will play on the road against Stabill Jezioro (#5) in Tarnobrzeg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
