There was an upset when higher ranked Fukuoka Rizing (24-22) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Shimane Magic (8-38) 63-62 on Sunday. Fukuoka Rizing trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 21-5 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 62-63 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 37-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game.
