Regular Season Round 17: Sagesse - Champville 91-60
Date: April 6, 2014
Very predictable result in Beirut where second ranked Sagesse (13-4) outscored 8th ranked Champville (6-11) 91-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. Sagesse led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Champville's players. The best player for the winners was Australian power forward Julian Khazzouh (209-86) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The former international swingman Elie Roustom (197-87) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Sagesse players scored in double figures. Sagesse's coach Fuad Abou Chakra felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Sabah Khoury (196-82) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Sagesse have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Riyadi and Amchit. Loser Champville dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. Sagesse will face Tadamon (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Champville will play against the league's leader Al Riyadi and hope to win that game.
