The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (20-6) on the court of fourth ranked Maccabi Haifa on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Maccabi Haifa 91-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Jerusalem. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Haifa. Hapoel Jerusalem managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (17-9) moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Haifa is looking forward to face Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#6) at home in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi T-A (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
