Trenkwalder RE defeated Lottomatica Roma 89-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Trenkwalder RE. Lottomatica Roma managed to win third quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trenkwalder RE dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lottomatica Roma's 30 and made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Lottomatica Roma 43-24 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. point guard Troy Bell (186-80, college: Boston Coll.) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and guard James White (201-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Even 19 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) did not help to save the game for Lottomatica Roma. Guard Jimmy Baron (191-86, college: Rhode Island) added 17 points for the guests. Five Trenkwalder RE and four Lottomatica Roma players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE maintains seventh position with 13-13 record. Loser Lottomatica Roma keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Trenkwalder RE will meet at home bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (#16) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lottomatica Roma will play against Banco di Srd (#5) in Sassari and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
