Regular Season Round 28: Lighthouse TR - Upea CdO 89-85

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Upea CdO (19-9) against tenth ranked Lighthouse TR (14-14) on Sunday night. Visiting Upea CdO was defeated by Lighthouse TR in a tough game in Trapani 85-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Upea CdO. It looked good early as Upea CdO took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lighthouse TR had a 23-13 second period charge getting the lead and Upea CdO was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-89. Lighthouse TR players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Robert Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) replied with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) added 20 points in the effort for Upea CdO. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lighthouse TR moved-up to eighth place, which they share with FCM Ferentino and C.de Latte BRE. Upea CdO at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost. They share it with Angelico BI. Lighthouse TR will play against league's leader Trento at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Upea CdO will play against Fileni BPA Jesi and hopes to get back on the winning track.
